The Branson attraction that was announced as “National Enquirer Live” will now have a new name: Beyond the Lens.
The change is being done because customers didn’t really understand what would be inside the attraction.
“Initially we established this concept of a very rich history, 80 years of one of America’s best tabloids,” General Manager Renee Johnson said in a statement. “It was seen as an obstacle for some of our guests, and it was misleading about what was inside the attraction, so it was creating a disconnect between what they had expected, and what was we deliver.
“We think Beyond the Lens is much more remarkable about what they will get when they come in.”
The displays will still contain some of the most infamous tabloid stories such as serial killer Ted Bundy, murdered beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, and the arrest and trial of O.J. Simpson for the murder of his ex-wife.
The attraction is expected to be open in mid to late August.
