The Branson Fire Department would like to invite the public and media to a celebratory reception for Division Chief Mike Novak, who recently completed the Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, an intense 4-year program designed to provide fire service officers with the expertise they need to succeed in today’s challenging environment.

The National Fire Executive Fire Officer Program consists of executive development, executive analysis of community risk reduction, executive analysis of fire service operations in emergency management and executive leadership where each student has to present an oral defense of their Applied Research project.

“This is a huge accomplishment! Completing this program isn’t easy. I am extremely proud of Mike for his commitment to making the Branson Fire Department a first-class organization and his commitment to making the Branson community safer,” said Branson Fire Chief Ted Martin.

The Fire Department will host a reception for Division Chief Novak on Monday, August 12, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Branson City Hall Court Room.
