Dashcam Pursuit Video, Probable Cause Statement From Saturday Fatal Crash Released

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office released the probable cause statement and a dashcam video of the pursuit related to Saturday’s fatal accident at Glenstone and Kearney in Springfield.

The video shows a Greene County Deputy’s pursuit of the white truck driven by Andrew Matthew Lynch. The GSCO released the video the media to show the perspective of the deputy because the Live PD cameras could zoom into the vehicle, giving viewers on television a distorted perspective on how close the deputy reached Lynch’s speeding truck.

At close to the 42 second mark of the video, you can see an officer at the right side of the road. This is where the spike strips were deployed that flattened the driver’s side tires in Lynch’s truck.

The entire pursuit lasted less than 90 seconds before the deputy broke off the pursuit at Glenstone and Interstate 44 when traffic density increased and Lynch had struck other vehicles.

Here is the probable cause statement that shows Lynch was not only almost three times the legal limit for alcohol but also had meth in his system:
