Renovations at Cooper Tennis Complex Complete

Courts 1 through 6 at Cooper Tennis Complex are open again after a series of intense renovations.

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board announced the reopening of the half of the complex closed since June for the first major upgrade in the facility since it opened in 1994.

The upgrade included:

Installation of updated LED fixtures
Resurfaced and color-coated tennis courts
Resurfaced interior vinyl wall and ceiling coverings
New nets
New vinyl court divider curtains
Extensive interior painting

The south indoor courts will now have work done. Courts 7 through 12 will close Monday, August 5th, and be closed for the week while they are resurfaced and color coated to match Courts 1-6.

The project was funded primarily through the Cooper Family Foundation and was budgeted at $500,000.
