MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
-For the third straight game, the Cardinals scored first. CF Dylan Carlson led off the game with an infield single, before stealing second. He moved to third on a groundout by 2B Michael Perri and scored on an RBI groundout from C Jose Godoy, lifting the Cardinals into the 1-0 lead.

-Tulsa tied it in the bottom of the first, but the Cardinals reclaimed the lead in the second with an RBI double by 1B Zach Kirtley and an RBI single from SS Rayder Ascanio, opening a 3-1 advantage.

-An RBI sac fly from Kirtley added a fourth run in the third, before Springfield padded the lead to 6-1 in the fourth with an RBI single by 2B Michael Perri and an RBI groundout from C Jose Godoy.

-Springfield kept swinging in the seventh with a two-run single by RHP Angel Rondon, extending the advantage to 8-1.

-The Drillers refused to go down quietly with a two-out rally in the ninth, striking with a two-run double from SS Zach McKinstry and an RBI base hit by 2B Errol Robinson. With one on and two away, RF Cody Thomas hit a fly ball to deep right field. RF Justin Toerner tracked it back to the fence and jumped over the short wall into the Tulsa bullpen to rob Thomas of a two-run homer and make a highlight-reel, game-ending catch.
