The Greene County budget office is heading south on Boonville Avenue.
The budget office is moving out of the County Commission offices in the Cox Medical Tower and back into the historic Greene County Courthouse.
“There’s so much interaction with the auditor and the treasurer, because they work so closely together,” County Administrator Chris Coulter told OI. “This just makes their working together more efficient.”
The office will now be located on the second floor, Room 213, next door to the Commission Court hearing room.
The move is taking place during Fourth of July week, with the office expected to be back up and fully operational for the public on Monday, July 8. Any citizen who needs to interact with the budget office before that date will need to visit the old location on the 10th floor of the Cox Medical Tower.
Greene County offices will be closed on July 4th and 5th, the same as all state offices.
