An Ozark teen who wasn’t licensed to be riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash in Springfield Tuesday night.
Springfield police confirmed that 15-year-old Zane Waszczuk of Ozark did not have a license and was not legally driving a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he turned onto Republic Road from Hillcrest and was struck by a 2007 Ford F-150 pickup.
The intersection has a stop sign on Hillcrest southbound, the direction of the motorcycle.
Waszczuk was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police say the investigation is continuing into the circumstances involved in the crash. The death is the sixth motor vehicle accident related fatality in Springfield this year.
