Nixa JROTC Places at Statewide Competition

Nixa’s JROTC placed at statewide competition and one of the squad received individual honors.

The platoon placed second in the platoon field day competition that took place from June 1-6, 2019 at the Missouri Military Academy. The platoon of 14 cadets performed “exceptionally” in the competition.

In addition to the platoon’s honor, Ariel Sheckley received both the top female fitness award and the top platoon leadership award.

The Nixa cadets had part of the competition where they were matched with two other schools to show off their team-building and problem-solving skills.

The competition consisted of 27 schools with over 400 cadets.
