Springfield’s June sales tax revenues took a huge jump compared to 2018.
The city released information showing the revenues for June were up 11 percent, or $435,825, compared to June 2018.
On the year-to-date level, sales tax revenues were up almost three percent, or $1,286,548 compared to the same time in 2018. Compared to budget, revenue are up almost two percent this month, and just over two percent for year-to-date.
The check reflects sales processed by the state in May from sales made primarily in April.
