Silver Dollar City is starting the “Star-Spangled Summer” celebration with the debut of a new show written exclusively for Silver Dollar City.
The show, which reportedly cost over a million dollars to produce, is called “Reuben’s Swashbuckling Adventure”, and opens Saturday June 8th.
The show is the tale of an Ozarks boy from the 1880s who had a “magical dreamscape” of places like a pirate ship, lush forest and a wayfarer camp. The show includes use of a massive LED screen of almost 1,000 square feet.
The show is the centerpiece of the park’s “Year of Show & Festivals” which includes a new dancing show called “Dance Explosion”, which works the park’s clogging performances with other dance styles such as stomp and tap.
The “Star-Spangled Summer” event at Silver Dollar City runs through July 21.
