16th Annual “Pickin’ In the Park” Bluegrass Festival Saturday in Walnut Grove

If you’re a lover of Bluegrass, head to Walnut Grove for a musical buffet of what you crave.

The 16th Annual “Pickin’ In The Park” starts at 11 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Grove’s City Park. The event is happening rain or shine with the last band scheduled to hit the stage at 8 p.m..

The concert is scheduled to feature 13 different acts including The Finley River Boys (pictured), Betty Jo & the Bluegrass Experience, That Dalton Gang and more. Promotional material for the event say there will be “plenty of shade for jam sessions.”

The event is presented by the Walnut Grove Masonic Lodge and the cost is $8 for adults, $4 for kids 17 years old or under and $20 for a family. A wristband is given with paid admission that allows attendees to come and go during the day.

Organizers say that concessions will be available at the concert site but that no coolers or alcohol will be permitted at the event. All proceeds to go to local charities to help families in need.
