A fundraiser Friday night will be celebrating Girl Scouts who are earning scouting’s highest honor: the Girl Scout Gold Award.
The award is given to a member of the Girl Scouts who has completed her “seven-step project.” The project is aimed at solving a problem in her community not just today but into the future. The completion of the project also makes her eligible for college scholarships.
The “Golden Evening” fundraiser to honor these Scouts and benefit the Girls Scouts of the Missouri Heartland will be taking place Friday night at 425 Downtown beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m. and then the dinner and program starting at 7 p.m..
Tickets are $100 for the event. Young alumnae of the Girl Scouts (ages 18-28) can get tickets for half price.
Tickets are available online. For more information, call 417-888-3025.
