A group of 13 graduates from Nixa High School will be heading to college with a big head start after receiving the Seal of Biliteracy from the State of Missouri.
The grads will earn 12 college credits or more at no cost at participating Missouri Universities because of their honor.
The students has to pass a proficiency test in a second language and score at least proficient on the English II EOC test. The majority of the students spent at least four years working on their second language to become biliterate.
