Four Cardinals relievers combined to lead Springfield (19-30) to the 1-0 shutout win against the Arkansas Travelers (31-16) at Dickey-Stephens Park on Saturday evening.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED:
-The Cardinals scored the game’s only run in the top of the fourth inning when LF Dylan Carlson raced home from third base on a wild pitch.

-RHP Roel Ramirez made the spot start for Springfield and escaped his lone jam with back-to-back strikeouts to strand two runners in a scoreless second inning.

-RHP Merandy Gonzalez slammed the door with a game-ending strikeout of 3B Logan Taylor, stranding the potential game-tying run at third base and closing the 1-0 win for Springfield.

NOTABLES:
