Grab your sunscreen and join the Willard Parks & Recreation department as they kick off the summer this Friday, May 24, with the “WAC Schools Out Splash Bash” from 3- 10 p.m. Admission is only $5 a person.
Starting at 7 p.m. there will be a live DJ at the pool as well as dancing. You won’t want to miss the grand finale of the event- fireworks! The Willard Aquatics Center is located at 133 N State Hwy Z and everyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
The WAC is open this summer, daily, from May 24th through August 14, 2019. Hours of operation include: Monday- Friday from 1- 7 p.m., Saturday from Noon- 7 p.m. and Sunday from Noon- 6 p.m. Admission is $5 a person (ages 3 and up) and senior citizens (55+) are just $3. Season passes are available this summer for the WAC and begin at $100, which include up to 3 family members. Additional family members are only $10. Individuals can purchase a season pass for just $60.
The WAC has a number of programs for adults to partake in this summer, including: Lap Swim which takes place Monday- Saturday from 7- 8 a.m., AquaFit on Monday- Saturday from 8:15- 9:15 a.m. and AquaTone on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15- 8:15 p.m.
The WAC also has a swim team if you child is interested in swimming competitively. There is a pre-practice meeting that will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 10 a.m. Practices for the swim team will begin on June 3rd.
