Greene County Route M near Republic High School will be closing on May 29 to allow for construction of a new roundabout.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says the work will begin after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 and the road will be closed until August 9, 2019.
In addition, Greene County Farm Road 103 and the north entrance to Republic High School will also be closed to all traffic.
When the roads reopen, the roundabout at the north entrance to Republic High School will be part of the roadway.
The project is schedule to be complete before the start of the 2019-2020 school year, but weather and construction delays could keep the project working into the school year.
The $2.3 million cost is being split between MoDOT, the City of Republic and the school district.
