If you’re wanting to get yourself so wired that you won’t sleep for the next week, Saturday morning is your chance to get charged up with the 2019 Springfield Coffee Fest.
The fourth annual event taking place on the square is a benefit for Safe and Sober, a non-profit organization that seeks to “empower young people to make safe choices.” They teach programs in schools and provide materials to schools about the dangers of drunk driving and underage drinking.
Over a dozen local coffee providers will be participating in the competition from 8 a.m. to noon:
- Able Coffee & Provisions
- Churchill Coffee Co.
- Country Girls Espresso
- Got Your Six Coffee Co.
- Kingdom Coffee
- Melancholy Roasting
- Mountain Bird Coffee & Tea Company
- No Coast Coffee
- Singularity Coffee
- Springtown Coffee
- Tantara Farms
- The Potter’s House Downtown
- Victory Coffee Co.
Tickets are $10 and include a doughnut from St. George’s when you arrive at the event. Tickets are available online and also will be available at the entrances to the event.
The event will be taking place rain or shine.
