Salvation Army Has Critical Need in Rental Assistance Program

The Salvation Army in Springfield is reporting a critical need for donations to their rental assistance program.

The program, which serves Greene and Christian counties, is out of funds to provide assistance in Greene County. Without it, the Salvation Army will not be able to keep families in need of housing with a roof over their heads.

The organization is asking residents to help by having a fundraising effort to friends and family. You can set up a fundraising page through the Salvation Army and then post it on your social media to have friends and family help in this time of need through the “Fundraise for Good Peer to Peer” program.

The Salvation Army has a sample fundraising page available at this link. The fundraiser will go specifically to the rental assistance program.
