City of Branson Statement on Tuesday Night’s Storm

from City of Branson

All Branson businesses are open and were not affected by the storms, however, we would like to let you know about some ongoing weather-related issues due to the amount of rain we received.

Taneycomo is currently flowing high due to inflows to the lake from area creeks and water runoff.

The City campground (Branson Lakeside RV) remains open at this time. It was partially evacuated overnight, with some campers moving to higher grounds within the campground.

Stockstill Park is closed due to damage and debris. (see pictures)

Roark Valley Road was closed for a time period late last night during the heavy rainfall.

Two homes along Sunset Park are not accessible because of lake water over the roadway.

The good news is there have been no injuries reported! Let’s keep it that way!

If you encounter water over a roadway, DON’T CHANCE IT! Even if it looks shallow. The water may have damaged the road and may not support your vehicle.

The City currently has a team in place to monitor conditions. We will update you here with any other public concerns.
