A Branson sex offender will spend the next 15 years behind bars after being sentenced for receiving and distributing child pornography.
Bill Lawrence, Jr, 57, was sentenced today to 15 years in federal prison without parole and 15 years of supervised release should he be released.
This was not the first child porn conviction for Lawrence who pleaded guilty to the charges in August 2018. Tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led investigators to Lawrence’s Google account where he sent emails with child pornography attached to them.
The investigation into Lawrence was part of “Project Safe Childhood”, a nationwide Justice Department initiative against child exploitation and abuse.
