Local Police Raise Funds for Special Olympics at Polar Plunge

Members of the Springfield Police Department and Greene County Sheriff’s Office joined with other community members to raise money for Special Olympics with the annual Polar Plunge.

Participants plunged into frigid water Saturday at Ski Shack Cable Park where the air temperature was 37 degrees as Plunge time.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office raised over $18,000 and Deputy James Craigmyle said on social media he hopes for more next year.
