A Springfield man convicted of raping a young woman at gunpoint has been sentenced to 105 years in prison for the attack.
Quenten Amlin, 25, was convicted of rape in the first degree, armed criminal action, two counts of sodomy in the first degree, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The victim in the case testified a man wearing a bandana covering his face and a hood over his head approached her near an alley with a gun, held the gun to her neck and forced her into the alley. Amlin then assaulted the woman multiple times.
Amlin was linked to the crime through DNA. He committed the assault 13 days after receiving parole for a burglary case.
Judge David Jones sentenced Amlin on each count and ordered the terms be served consecutively for a total of 105 years in state prison. Probation was denied and Amlin is in the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections.
