Victory Mission, The Kitchen Partner to Feed the Hungry

The Victory Mission has announced a new partnership with The Kitchen, Inc. to provide meals to those in need in the community.

The Mission’s “Lifted Message + Meal” is taking place at the Kitchen’s Franciscan Village location at 620 West Scott in Springfield. The meal will be offered Monday through Friday at 6pm and Sundays at 5pm. There is no meal offered Saturdays.

“We are so blessed to live in a community where partner agencies believe in collaboration and not competition. We can achieve more by working together,” Meleah Spencer, CEO of the Kitchen, Inc. said in a statement. “This partnership allows The Kitchen, Inc. and Victory Mission to serve our community and both of our clients better.”

Jason Hynson, Executive Director of Victory Mission, agreed with Spencer’s assessment.

“Non-profits have to work together to make an impact,” Hynson stated. “When Meleah and I saw this opportunity, we jumped to make it a reality. The hope is a win-win, collaboration will impact more and cost less.”

The Victory Mission recently moved their food and clothing pantry to a new location. The pantry is inside the Mission’s Warehouse and Distribution Center, 700 West Chase Street in Springfield. The pantry is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
