A strong winter storm pounded the Ozarks overnight leaving residents without power and significant storm damage.
The storm brought down trees and power lines. The National Weather Service showed reports of hail up to golf ball sized in the region along with wind gusts close to 70 m.p.h..
Police reported at least one auto accident connected to the storm when a woman drove into a downed tree.
City Utilities of Springfield reported outages across the city with almost all of them repaired by noon Thursday.
A Winter Weather advisory and Flood Watch for Greene County was cancelled as of noon Thursday.
