A warrant is out for the arrest of a Springfield man in connection with the statutory rape of a 12-year-old girl.
Jonathan Little, 19, is facing three counts of first degree statutory rape or attempted statutory rape of a person less than 14 years of age
Court documents say the victim told a forensic interviewer with the Springfield Child Advocacy Center she met then 18-year-old Little around February 2, 2018 and “they started dating.” Soon after, the two began to have sex and the victim became sick. When the victim sought medical treatment, she was told that she had contracted gonorrhea and chlamydia. The victim told the interviewer she had not had sex with anyone but Little.
According to the probable cause statement, Little admitted to police engaging in sexual behavior with the victim multiple times and that he believed it was possible he passed STDs on to the victim.
Little claims that the mother of the victim “manipulated and intimidated him” into continuing a relationship with the victim after he had broken it off; Little moved into the residence of the mother and the victim.
If convicted, Little could be sentenced to life in prison.
