The city of Branson will have a contest in every open seat for the April 2nd election.
The mayoral race has Mayor Karen Best seeking a third term. Two challengers will try to unseat Best: Ray Eaton and Edd Akers.
Best won her second term with 69% of the vote over Marshall Howden.
Howden will try win the Ward I alderman seat against incumbent Bob Simmons. Simmons ran unopposed in 2017.
Ward II will result in a new alderman as incumbent Cris Bohinc chose not to run for re-election. Lucas Case will square off against Larry Milton.
Both seats for Ward III will be contested.
In the first race, incumbent Kevin McConnell will face Ruth Denham. McConnell won his seat in 2017 with 75% of the vote.
The other seat is to replace Betsy Seay who ran unopposed in 2018. Seay resigned when she moved out of the ward.
Brian Clonts, appointed to the seat after Seay’s resignation, will run against Janet Rackley.
