The City of Springfield’s sales tax revenues from the Missouri Department of Revenue are up compared to the city’s budget.
The check from the state totaled $4,387,170 compared to a budgeted amount of $4,151,564, a difference of 5.68 percent. Revenue compared to the budget is up just over 2 percent for the year.
“We were pleased to see revenues rebound after a below-budget December,” Finance Director David Holtmann said in a press release.
The check is the amount of sales processed by the state in December for transactions that took place primarily in November.
