A Greene County homeowner sprung into action when they heard someone attempting to break into their vehicle.
According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner in the 3700 block of North Amelia heard noises in their driveway area and got out of bed to investigate. After observing someone inside his SUV, the owner retrieved a gun.
The homeowner then ran outside, grabbed the thief from the driver’s seat of the SUV and threw them on the ground. The homeowner then held the thief at gunpoint until Greene County Deputies were able to arrive at the home.
Items had already been removed from the vehicle and the thief was attempting to take the SUV.
