For the second consecutive week, the Drury Lady Panthers moved up one spot in the WBCA/NCAA-II poll and are now the number two ranked team in the country.
Drury won both of their games last week with a 77-47 win over Indianapolis on Thursday, then a 69-66 win over nationally ranked Lewis on Saturday to go to 15-0 and 5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Lady Panthers are one of only six women’s Division II teams remaining with an unbeaten record.
Indiana (Pa.) (13-0) is the top-ranked team in the nation this week while Fort Hays State (15-0) is ranked third. Two other teams from the GLVC are in the top 25 with Lewis (13-2) ranked 18th, and Truman State (14-2) is 25th.
The Lady Panthers are nationally ranked for the 91st consecutive week, the longest such streak in the nation. Drury is also in the top 10 for the 24th week in a row.
The Lady Panthers play the first of four straight road games on Thursday when they travel to McKendree for a 5:30 p.m. game in Lebanon, Illinois.
