The Springfield NAACP will hold a ceremony Friday to install Toni Robinson as their new leader.
Evangel graduate Robinson, 25, is the first millennial to lead the local chapter of the NAACP. She will serve a two-year term as the group’s president.
Current president Cheryl Clay will assume the role of Springfield NAACP secretary.
A ceremony for Robinson’s swearing-in and for other members of the Springfield NAACP executive committee will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Diversity Center at Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 803 N. Drury Lane. The event is open to the public.
