After 18 lead changes through three quarters, the Lady Bears opened the final period with a Gartner bucket followed by a steal and score by Mya Bhinhar to cap an 8-0 run with a 66-59 lead and 9:14 left in the game. After LT hit one of its 11 treys, the Lady Bears responded with an 11-0 run to pull ahead 77-62 with under four minutes left, holding the Techsters scoreless for more than five minutes, and remained ahead by double digits the rest of the way.

Missouri State led 21-16 after a first quarter that included 10 lead changes, and the Lady Techsters briefly led late in the first half before Gitzen scored at the buzzer for a 39-38 advantage at intermission despite LT burying eight treys.
