Former NFL Player Dorial Green-Beckham Arrested on Drug Charge

Former Hillcrest High School, University of Missouri and NFL player Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested on Thursday night in Springfield on a drug charge.

In addition to being arrested for possession of a controlled substance, Green-Beckham was also booked for resisting arrest.

Police say Green-Beckham tried to leave a residence in the 600 block of East Grand Avenue on Wednesday night through a window. After he was arrested by police, marijuana was found in his pocket and also in a backpack that belonged to him. A pound of marijuana was found in the backpack.

Green-Beckham has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement. He was arrested in Columbia, MO on a marijuana related charge while attending the University of Missouri. He is currently on probation for a guilty plea after a DWI arrest in December 2017.

Green-Beckham played one season with the Tennessee Titans and one with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. He has not appeared in the NFL since 2017.

Green-Beckham is in the Greene County Jail awaiting formal charges.
