Ozark Middle School Reports Non-Credible Online Threat

Ozark Middle School posted on their Facebook page today about a social media threat against the school that was determined to be “no credible threat.”

The post from the school is below.

Ozark Middle School families,

This morning OMS administrators were made aware of a situation alleging a social media threat. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority and our administrators immediately began investigating the situation with our school resource officers. The situation was found to be completely unsubstantiated and no credible threat existed.

We realize these situations are unsettling to our families and encourage our students, staff and community to be aware of potential safety threats and report them. Our Ozark School District Tip Line can be accessed from our website or through our app. We all must work together to keep our schools safe and we appreciate the parent that brought forward this information. This action is the best defense in keeping our schools safe.

Thank you,
Les Ford, Principal
