The Drury Lady Panthers moved up two spots in this week’s WBCA/NCAA-II poll and are ranked fourth in the nation.
Drury won their lone game last week with a 92-63 win at Arkansas-Fort Smith and is 9-0 while outscoring their opponents by an average of 30 points per game. The Lady Panthers are one of 12 undefeated teams in Division II.
Drury rose two spots in this week’s poll as they jumped past fifth-ranked Bentley (10-0) and Ashland, last week’s number one ranked team, lost at Grand Valley State 94-61 on Dec. 4 and dropped to eighth with their 8-1 record.
Union (Tenn.) (9-0) takes over as the number one ranked team in this week’s NCAA-II poll while Indiana (Pa.) (8-0) is ranked second and West Texas A&M (8-0) is third.
One other team from the Great Lakes Valley Conference is in the top 25 as Lewis (6-1) is 20th.
This week marks the 87th consecutive week Drury been ranked in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is also their 20th straight week ranked in the top 10.
The Lady Panthers return to action on Sunday when they take on Nova Southeastern for a 1 p.m. (Central) tipoff in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
