National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Watch

The far southern parts of Missouri could be facing a winter wonderland this weekend if prediction models hold true.

The National Weather service has issued a Winter Storm watch for Christian County and other southern counties in Missouri.  The storm could bring 3 to 6 inches of snow with higher amounts in localized areas.  A possibility of a slight “ice glaze” is possible as well.

The NWS says if the storm hits as predicted it would lead to hazardous driving conditions on Friday night into Saturday.

The overall forecast is calling for snow throughout the Ozarks Friday night through Saturday.
