The Drury Lady Panthers moved up two spots in this week’s WBCA/NCAA-II poll and are ranked sixth in the nation.
Drury is 8-0 and won both of their games last week picking up an 88-46 win over Rogers State and a 113-61 victory over Missouri S&T on Saturday in their Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
This week marks the 86th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is also their 19th straight week ranked in the top 10.
Ashland (7-0) remained at number one in this week’s poll while Union (Tenn.) (7-0) is ranked second and Indiana (Pa.) (7-0) stayed at number three.
One other GLVC team is in the top 25 as Lewis (6-1) is ranked 22nd in this week’s poll.
Drury moved up two spots this week as Alaska Anchorage (7-1) suffered a loss and dropped from fourth to number 13 and the Lady Panthers vaulted past defending national champion Central Missouri (6-1) who remained ranked seventh.
Drury is in action tonight with a 5:30 p.m. game at Arkansas-Fort Smith.
