The National Weather Service on Monday said they have confirmed six tornadoes that touched down throughout the Ozarks during a severe storm Friday night into Saturday morning.
Four of the tornadoes were rated as EF-1 with the remaining two tornadoes an EF-0.
According to the NWS:
An EF-0 tornado briefly touched down 2 miles south of Monett, MO. Minor roof damage to several homes occurred before the tornado lifted.
An EF-1 tornado touched down 1.5 miles south of Billings, MO and tracked north-northeast and lifted 1 mile south of Billings. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped. Minor roof damage to homes occurred with some outbuildings damaged.
An EF-1 tornado touched down 3 miles west of Republic, MO and tracked northeast into the western city limits of Republic. Two large barns were destroyed and numerous trees uprooted. Several homes sustained minor roof damage.
An EF-1 tornado touched down 2 miles north-northeast of Seymour, MO and tracked northeast before dissipating approximately 6 miles northeast of Seymour. Significant damage occurred to barns with multiple trees uprooted.
An EF-1 tornado touched down 2 miles south of Aurora, MO and tracked northeast to the Aurora Motel, where one fatality occurred. The tornado then tracked northward across Highway 60 and damaged the Sutherlands home improvement store before dissipating.
An EF-0 tornado briefly touched down northwest of Hartville, MO and broke several large tree branches.
