Glendale Student Charged in Assault on Another Student

An 18-year-old Glendale High School student is facing charges in connection with an assault on another student.

Andre James Thomas is facing a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault in connection with an incident October 10th at the school.

School police officer Alex Baldwin stated in court documents that Thomas walked up from behind and struck another student in the head.  When the victim turned, Thomas continued to strike him until the victim fell on the ground at which point Thomas began kicking him.

Thomas faces a Greene County judge on December 31st and if convicted faces a year in jail and up to a $2,000 fine.
