Springfield Security Firm Owner Jailed on Drug Charges

The owner of Southern Missouri Judicial Services (SMOJS) was booked into the Greene County Jail Friday afternoon on multiple drug charges.

Tim A. Brenner, 46, is facing two class D felony counts of possession of a controlled substance according to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.  The indictment claims that Brenner knowingly possessed methamphetamine and more than 35 grams of marijuana.

The charges come after a raid of Brenner’s business in May.

Employees of Brenner’s firm are alleged to have act like police officers in performing traffic stops, detaining citizens and conducting searches for illegal substances.

SMOJS is located on Boonville Avenue across from the Greene County Justice Center.  Their website says they provide “a service to Springfield, Missouri as well as surrounding areas for specialized services of; Private Investigations including Insurance Fire & Fraud, Surveillance, K-9 Teams, Process Serving, GPS,TAD/Alcohol Ankle Bracelets, Prisoner Extradition, DNA, Fingerprints, Training and Probation.”
